Come check out the PEN USA genre groups! PEN USA will provide a picnic for all PEN members who have been or wish to be part of a PEN USA genre writer’s group. This is an opportunity to meet other PEN members with shared interests. After the picnic we’ll experience Shakespeare under the stars from a reserved block of seats. The theater will provide folding chairs on risers, or you may bring your blanket or beach chair to watch the performance from the lawn.
Is this suitable for children, e.g., my ten-year old son? Sounds like a nice opportunity to introduce him to live Shakespeare.
Yes, of course kids are welcome.
This is Hamlet - everyone dies by the end and the route is lined with murder, poisoning, treachery, deceit, and swordplay. Nothing the average 10 year old isn’t familiar with. There were enraptured children at an earlier performance I saw.
Babies generally cried and had to be taken away.
