Please let them know how freedom of speech is violated here in Bangladesh. How a journalist is in prison for long 15 months for no obvious reasons. I appeal to the International community, peace activists, journalists, editors, scholars, writers, poets, professionals, intellectuals and over all, all the peace loving people on earth to please raise their voice.

Give me the opportunity to be FREE, breath fresh Air of freedom… PLEASE!!!

Today I visited the web page of PEN for the first time. I found Shoaib’s letter of appeal projected with great importance. Just now I am returning after meeting Shoaib at the prison. He was not finding a real good word to express his thanks and gratitude to express his feelings in response to what you are doing and have done already.

Hello Eileen, what a pleasant awakening this web page has been.  I was just searching for a writer’s workshop and in i walked to your website and the magnificent purpose it stands for.  What can I do as a citizen of the world who wishes to help and end such improper penalties?  I would apprecaite your comments.  BTW why is Mr Salahuddin in prison, is there any way to find out why or what piece of writing destined him to such an outcome?  Looking eagerly forward to your response.  best reagrds,
