Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury Faces Capital Trial, Members of Congress Respond

After two years of continuances and delays, Honorary Member and 2005 Freedom to Write Award-Winner, Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, faces his sedition trial this month. The charge of sedition carries a punishment of 30 years in prison to a possible death sentence. The Congressional Bangladesh Caucus have formally protested these proceedings.
