Submissions Workshop with Libby Flores and Michelle Meyering

Event Date and Time:
July 13, 2013 - 1:00pm - 4:00pm

with Libby Flores and Michelle Meyering

Are you ready to submit your work for the first time? Are you looking for a new approach to sending work out? The Submissons Workshop focuses on the in-and-outs of crafting a coherent strategy for submitting to literary journals. It covers the essentials of any successful submission packet, such as building a CV, logline, and cover letter. The workshop also aims to provide helpful advice about using the Poet’s Market and Writer’s Market guides, choosing submission seasons, creating and tracking simultaneous submissions, and choosing work that will help create a strong submission packet. Workshops, conferences, questions of etiquette when interacting with editors, and strategies for dealing with rejection will also be discussed in detail.

July 13, 2013, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
