Libby Flores is originally from Texas but has lived in Los Angeles for ten years. She is the Program Manager at PEN Center USA's Emerging Voices Fellowship and Workshops. She was chosen as one of eight writers in the United States to receive the PEN Emerging Voices Fellowship in 2008. Her short fiction has appeared in The Rattling Wall; Strange Cargo: an Emerging Voices Anthology; and Circa Magazine. Her short story "The Table," published by The Rattling Wall, was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2012. She teaches creative writing workshops at San Diego Writer's Ink. Libby was selected as a semi-finalist in the American Short Fiction Short(er) Contest judged by Stuart Dybek. Her short story "Two Tons of Manure" is forthcoming in the fall issue of Post Road Magazine. Libby holds an MFA in creative writing from Bennington College.
Michelle Franke (Meyering) is the Executive Director of PEN Center USA and founding editor of The Rattling Wall, a literary journal. Michelle has produced over 200 literary events across Southern California and was named a 2013 "Face To Watch" by the Los Angeles Times. She currently teaches in the UCLA Extension Writers' Program in Los Angeles.
